Going South For sun, flowers and Radio Devon

Well it's my Birthday again, and we were heading south of the border to Devon , as my husband had a Radio interview to do with BBC Radio Devon. As my Mother in Law lives in the area, we combined the trip with a visit and a birthday celebration and some tourism away from the wild winds of Aberdeen.

When we arriver the sunny spell was over and the rain was beating against the windows the wind was howling. Fortunately the weather cleared for a bit and after my husband's interview we all headed of to Cockington which is not far from  Torquay. There we saw some glass blowing at Our Glass. The glass blowing was impressive and beautiful hand made vases.

Spring has Sprung?

Well there was sun today and it was possible to go out with out two coats and boots and an umbrella, so I guess for here that's spring! The weather forecast is doom and gloom with torrential forecast predicted for th rest of the week but it was nice to get out without fear for a change 1

Some times I wonder about big  people! I went out one day and I made a new friend!  A truly wonderful companion  I like little people they are guaranteed to entertain.

Sun at last

After a long dark and gloomy Aberdeen winter  the sun finally made an appearance. So an oportunity to take my new natural hair for some fresh air.

Having seen my mother in law's quilt pictures and having a sewing machine of my own  I have set to work.  Each panel is individually backed with foam, and it is a till a work in progress, not really sure where to stop!!  The back will be of larger panels than the front and the finished product will be for the bed.

Just found this picture, we went to Fyfe and I was hungry, so I ordered the a big burger, but I got the biggest burger I have ever seen!!!!  

In the end I won, but it took time.

This is my husband's idea of a good time in freezing cold weather which really does prove that he  is really not quite right in the head sometimes.  However he makes up for it in other ways so I just have to put up with the occasional  madness.
